Haz-Mat Diving | Professional High-Risk Divers
Commercial divers are trained to perform a wide range of services from underwater inspections & repairs to potable water tank maintenance and more, but occasionally the job description of a commercial diver moves outside of the more routine diving projects and into the realm of high-risk and haz-mat diving.
While any job that is performed by a commercial diver has a certain level of risk involved, high-risk diving and haz-mat diving projects often involve an elevated level of concern due to the hazardous environments where these jobs take place. High-risk and haz-mat diving jobs may involve working in contaminated water, confined work spaces, possible radiation exposure, and other hazardous conditions.

Our high-risk and haz-mat divers are certified in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and undergo annual training and recertification in order to maintain compliance with government standards. HAZWOPER certification can only be granted under the standards that have been established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
In addition to the necessary training and certifications required for high-risk and haz-mat diving, highly specialized equipment is also necessary in order to perform these jobs safely. These suits offer a level or protection necessary for high-risk and haz-mat diving and can be easily decontaminated after the job is completed.
